Johnson Books

Johnson Books covered nature, archaeology, and regional history across Colorado and the Southwest, with a range that ran from mining towns to canyon archaeology. Colorado Ghost Tours and Home Sweet Jerome dug into mining-town history, while Grand Canyon: Nankoweap and Tunnels Under Our Feet: Colorado's Forgotten Hollow Sidewalks took on narrower subjects, canyon archaeology in one case and Denver's buried infrastructure in the other.

The imprint published outside the region on occasion too, as with Machu Picchu's Sacred Sisters: Choquequirao & Llactapata, and ran a children's line alongside its nonfiction titles with Olive and the Big Stream and Olive Goes for a Wild Ride.
