About Big Earth Publishing

Big Earth Publishing was a book publisher and distributor based in Boulder, Colorado, working across several imprints rather than a single list. Its output centered on the American West: landscape photography, hiking and paddling guides, nature writing, and regional history, with a Midwest wing added through Trails Books and Prairie Oak Press.

The company brought together imprints with distinct identities instead of folding everything into one brand. Westcliffe Publishers handled Colorado photography and scenic guides. Johnson Books covered nature, archaeology, and regional history for Colorado and the Southwest. Bleak House Books and Intrigue Press added mystery and suspense fiction to a list otherwise built around outdoor and regional titles.

Big Earth Publishing is no longer operating. This site is a reference for its catalog and imprints, not a store; nothing here is for sale.
